Hot off the Press...
The LYP invites you to a “Taste of the Med” evening at the Babylonia Restaurant, Bowling Green Street, Leicester on Thursday 2nd September 2010 at 6pm – 8.30pm.
LYP kick start with a Coffee Rush
Networking group Leicester Young Professionals kick started its day with an early morning coffee rush at trendy city centre eatery The Boot Room.
Azorieblue Coffee expert Adrian Rose, treated members to relentless servings of his renowned Brazilian Arabica espresso with flavour, aroma, taste and beans the main talk of the day.
Leicester Young Professionals (LYP) was set up in 2002 to create unique and memorable networking opportunities for its professional members.
The aim of the LYP is to offer professionals in the early years of their careers, the opportunity to take part in dynamic networking events, so they can build their personal profile within the local professional services market.
The idea is that as our members develop in their careers, they do so alongside their equivalents at other firms.
Throughout the year, the LYP hosts a variety of networking events which provide unique opportunities for meeting other professionals whilst promoting the city as a thriving and dynamic business centre.
In turn, this helps to build a network of business contacts, make new friends and offers unique opportunities to socialise in a relaxed and informal environment.
Members’ taste for coffee was also tested with a quiz to help separate the serious drinkers from the latte lightweights. Top-performers were Helen Wheeler, of Tenon, Sam McGinty and Kandia Zuk, both of Howes Percival, plus Martin Andrew of GHC.
LYP committee member Tim Evans, a trainee solicitor with Leicester law firm Harvey Ingram, says: “Coffee is clearly the key for these early morning get togethers. There was a great turnout and a fantastic atmosphere in the Boot Room. Adrian Rose’s presentation was superb.”
