In and around local secondary schools

Detached youth work is based around developing purposeful relationships with young people in public spaces such as parks, shelters or on the streets. LYP’s detached workers  engage young people and work with them to enhance their life chances and to help them contribute to their community, they provide appropriate information and advice to vulnerable young people

We carry out detached work in Levenshulme and surrounding areas to young people aged 12 -24 years who do not have access to any other youth provisions. The project also offers opportunities which are designed to encourage participation, be challenging and empowering.
