Volunteering Opportunities
Whether it’s fundraising or social media, an hour a week or a few days a month, we’re looking for volunteers to support us however you can.
Our roles offer flexible arrangements, plenty of support and the opportunity to develop your skills.
Inductions & Supervisions
If you become a member of our team will introduce you to our team and the project. We will also go over health and safety requirements. All volunteers will have supervisions which will focus on how the role is going, what support you need and update you on what’s going happening at CYP.
DBS Checks
At LYP we work with children and young people in a wide variety of ways. If your role involves working with these people you will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check which we will cover the cost of.
Expenses
We will reimburse volunteers for any reasonable out-of- pocket expenses. Tickets and receipts will need to be provided in order to reclaim this money.
Flexible location
Many of our roles are very flexible so offer the possibility to volunteer from the comfort of your own home or join us at our office.
We communicate and share information through a wide variety of means including newsletters, bulletins and social media. We also consult through events, meetings, surveys, and workshops, and provide access to resources, briefings and intelligence through our staff, web site and partners.
